A United States Chess Federation (USCF) rated tournament will be held at the Kenai Merit Inn on July 27 and July 28, 2002. The tournament will be 5 rounds using the Swiss pairing system. This is a non elimination event. USCF membership is required and will be available at the site. All games are played with a time limit of 90 minutes for each player. 75% of entry fees will be returned as prize money.

Saturday, July 27  Registration: 10am to 11am

Round 1: 11am

Round 2: 3pm

Round 3: 7pm

Sunday, July 28

Round 4: 10am

Round 5: 2pm

Entry Fees: Adult $25, Youth $20(ages 15-19), Scholastic $15(age 14 and under), Senior $20(age 65 and over). Take $5 off for advance entry. Make checks payable to “Alaska Chess League”. Mail to ACL, c/o George Lombardi, PO Box 868, Kenai, AK 99611-0868. Advance entry must be received by July 26.
