Interior Fall Tournament

October 8th - 9th, 2005 

The Tournament will be a 4 round, Swiss event. All games are played at game in 90 minutes. "Open" (USCF-rated) section and possible "Scholastic" section depending on number of entries. USCF membership will be available on-site. Please bring your own chess set and clock, limited supply available. 

Playing Site:
University of Alaska Fairbanks Campus, Gruening Building, rooms 401 and 413.  

Entry Fee:
adult $25, students $15, kids (under 12) $5

Dates and Game Schedule:

Saturday, October 8th
Registration starts at 9:00 a.m. at Gruening Bldg, Rm 413.
Round 1, 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Round 2, 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Sunday, October 9th
Round 3, 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Round 4, 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Prizes
$$ based on number of entrants. In case of a tie for prize money, two tie-break G/5 blitz games will be played, if still tied an armageddon game will be played (white has to win to win match, white gets 6 minutes on clock against 5 for black, color determined by coin toss).
